The Café At Porlock Weir with Rooms (formerly Andrew’s On The Weir) is owned and run by husband and wife team Andrew and Sarah Dixon.

Chef Andrew Dixon is passionate about food and aims to delivery the highest standards found anywhere on Exmoor and the West Country. Andrew worked for many years in some of Britians finest Country House hotels and in Michelin Stared Restaurants. Sarah with her professional team runs the front of house and prides herself on providing friendly, professional and attentive service.

The Café has an envious position nestling in the foothills of Porlock Weir overlooking the Bristol Channel where Exmoor meets the sea.

We offer the perfect destination for a few days away by the sea where you can enjoy the sea air and eat fantastic food. It is just over a three hour drive from London or 2 hours from Bristol.

The Café At Porlock Weir has 5 individual en suite bedrooms mostly with panoramic sea views. All bedrooms are named after local Exmoor villages and have flat screen televisions, Cafetiere coffee and tea making facilities. All the bedrooms are dog friendly.

The Selworthy room, is a junior suite with a four poster king size bed, comfy sofas, armchairs and its own whirlpool bath.

The Café At Porlock Weir with rooms is an ideal base for you to enjoy the natural beauty of Exmoor and many of its picturesque villages and to absorb the history and charm of the area.
Porlock Weir itself has its own little community and has some fine boutiques to rival any city centre high street.

Minehead is the perfect base as it has a wide range of shops and eating places. The town has a thriving Farmers’ Market every Friday in The Parade, in the centre of town.

If you wish to explore further afield, you may like to tour around the Exmoor National Park, taking in such villages as Porlock, Dulverton, Withypool, Exford, Lynton & Lynmouth. How about visiting the Doone Valley (Oare and Malmsmead), the setting for R D Blackmore’s well known novel Lorna Doone.

North Devon is also easily accessible from Minehead, either by taking the spectacular coast road (A39) and experiencing England’s tallest coastal cliffs, or by cutting across Exmoor and enjoying the unique scenery and wildlife.
